Alex Coley & Afterlove : "All the tracks from The Arc tie into one another. There is a very intentional flow between our songs that tell the story of my break-up during the pandemic. "Silent in My Car" and "Hold It All" were interesting songs to pair because of how they relate to my current relationship with my ex. While "Silent in My Car" is a song about longing for friendship, "Hold it All" is a song saying I don't want to be your friend. This back and forth is alive throughout the album, as it wavers between heartbreak and healing – the end and the beginning."
