Catamaran makes rhythmically enrapturing indie surf rock, using tremolo-ed guitars and syrupy melodies to craft songs that are as catchy as they are interesting.

Founding members Stephen Glenn (vocals, guitar) and Tom Theall (drums) met in 2010.

 Catamaran released their first EP Weekdays in 2014 along with the addition of Chris Escarfullery (bass, keys) who joined the group full-time.

The album "Wasteland" is built around the theme of decay–deteriorating mental health, failing relationships, and societal collapse. It examines feelings of wasted potential, loss, and powerlessness. Yet running through it all is a defiant thread that refuses to succumb to this drowning feeling, and fights to keep one's head above water.
