Queen of the multi-hyphenates, Erickka Jones has carved out an impressive career as a writer for publications such as Essence, Ebony, Madamenoire, xoNecole, Uptown magazine and the BET Plus original series ‘A Luv Tale.’ As a model she’s collabed with Carhartt, Gap, Pantene, ID magazine and more. Her acting skills have been featured on episodes of Law & Order SVU and Chappelle’s Show, and she was the host of MTV Europe’s US Top 20 video countdown. What Erickka has never shared with the world is her musical talent, which was sparked when she was a little girl listening to her mother blast Earth, Wind and Fire, Chaka Khan and Frankie Beverly and Maze. Her own musical influences such as Prince, Bjork, and Tracy Chapman, along with her love of the written word, inspired her to create an album 20 years ago called Sensual Journey. Recorded one summer in Newark, New Jersey, with producer Daniel Alzamora Dicken, the music which combines live instruments, hip-hop beats, silky melodies, and tribal rhythms, sat unreleased until now. Erickka says that it took her two decades and a wealth of life experience to grow into the person who could finally share this intimate side of herself. Sensual Journey is a refreshing reminder to live, love and never give up on your dreams. Erickka is excited to share this collaboration and she invites you to take this journey with her.
