NEWS - FLO CHASE "SEASONS"

Multi-instrumentalist and indie pop singer-songwriter Flo Chase just released his long-awaited second studio album, entitled "Seasons". The 11-track album is Flo Chase's most ambitious work to date. It reflects his experiences over the last 24 months and the different "seasons" of life, while also addressing some of the current global turmoil.

Born to French parents, he grew up mainly in Australia before making the journey to Los Angeles. Growing up, he remembers listening to Neil Young, Simon and Garfunkel and Bob Dylan, all of whom played a major role in shaping the way he approached his own compositions. It wasn't long before Chase started taking singing lessons and learning composition, and before long he was learning to play drums, banjo, harmonica, bass and ukulele. From then on, the multi-instrumentalist was into it. Later, he was inspired by the likes of John Mayer, Ben Howard, Jack Johnson and Angus & Julia Stone, all of whom inspired the singer-songwriter on his new album.

"Seasons" was recorded and engineered over a two-year period at Barking Owl Sound Studios in Santa Monica, California USA. It was co-produced by Flo Chase and Houston Fry, mixed by Kolton Lee (Kaleo, Foy Vance, Shania Twain, Niall Horan) and mastered by Joe Laporta (Shawn Mendes, David Bowie, The Weeknd) and Danny Pellegrini (Shania Twain, City and Colour, Parachute). As well as co-producing the album and arranging the songs, Chase played most of the apparent instruments on the album, most of them self-taught.
