My goal for every song I record is to be able to listen back to something I love that didn't exist before I entered the studio. If I make that happen, everything seems to follow suit.

 

The eight songs on Alien Radio bring back memories of being in my early twenties, a very strenuous, arduous time. When I listen back to the music, I can hear the tension of dreams and depression, sweetness and bitterness and ultimately hope, all surrounding the music. Though I previously thought of a lot of these tracks on Alien Radio as "lost," the miracle of clear hindsight has made them found and alive again.

 

For the focus track "In My Cave," I wanted my own rocked out deranged version of the Beach Boys' "In My Room."

As I released my sophomore album Fear Be Gone in 2023 and my debut Previous Pain the year before, and am currently in the process of completing another album, I believe this is the best time to release Alien Radio. It bridges the gap between the two albums and shows you a sonic lineage that helped create the start of my sound.
