On Nov 29th 2020, our son Saul was born. We were not expecting him before February so we experienced this day both a very stressful feeling and pure emotion. Being so early and wanting to be here that hard, Saul had to spend his first 7 weeks at St. John’s NICU in Santa Monica among beautiful doctors and nurses we couldn’t thank enough. What happened this day definitely had a big impact on Cecilia and I. As a side passion, I’m always composing and writing songs either with friends or alone these days. But this time, Cecilia gave me the idea to write an album that would tell the story of our journey becoming parents. Something personal, that I would do on my own, but not alone. This Is Your Song is the final song of the EP. ( Baja) Finally home, finally here, what a great start to the year! On Jan 16th 2021, we were on our way home as a family for the first time! This song is about him being here with us, all the new things we learned watching him watching the world with his big open eyes. And taking this opportunity to share some little advice that hopefully he’ll take with him. Don’t let that smile get away of your face, take your time, follow the sun, keep laughing at everything you want and do it your own way.
