The new single is a cinematic piece inspired by some of the artist’s favorite novels such as George Orwell’s 1984, the 1932 novel Brave New World by Aldous Huxley, and the famous line in Shakespeare’s The Tempest, “O brave new world, that has such people in it!” Emmrose combines themes from dystopian novels relevant to the madness in our world today, embroiled in war, disinformation, and conspiracy theories. At the time of writing "Brave New World", the US had just elected the new president amidst a massive disinformation war. Emmrose could not avoid being inspired by hearing friends, the news, and social media swirling all around her with conspiracy theories influenced by politically-motivated disinformation groups.
