“Corifeo” is Filippo Noah's first single.

CORIFEO (from ancient Greek: κορυφαῖος / koruphaîos, from κορυφή / koruphḗ, "top of the head") is the choir master in ancient Greek tragedy and comedy.

Filippo explains:

The song "Corifeo" was born as a text-metaphor of one's social relations. It comes from asking myself about the choir around my life: friends, relatives, teachers. What form does the support of this choir take? On the one hand through its support which - as mentioned in the text - supports “my cadences” (metaphor for one's own steps in life, as if it were a dance); On the other hand, it is a support that occurs through detachment, letting go: the corifeo is a spokesperson for the choir, who "gives you a sign" inviting you to continue alone. Because after the collective support, it is time to take your own path on your own: this is reality, and it must be celebrated. The piece was recorded in the studio and the musical composition created harmoniously by several hands: the singer-songwriter, a producer, a pianist, a guitarist and a drummer. The rhythm and groove of the piece enhance and celebrate this role of the choir. It is a light-hearted and cheerful dance, and culminates in a bridge that exudes the atmosphere of a party, under the bluesy notes of a piano.
