The Swiss saxophonist, pianist, songwriter Monika Tiken, who is from Erlenbach, a village near Zurich, has an intriguing background having studied jazz and Moroccan music at the Berklee College of Music and also travelled to India to study the rich heritage of classical music of the country.

Monika Tiken’s new album “Gold”, has been released in the spring.

With Monika’s own cover artwork as the leitmotiv coursing through the album, deep thoughts are packaged into beautiful blue, silver and gold-themed songs, pure and straight from the heart.

The Venezuelan percussionist, Edwin Sanz (a member of the Steve Winwood touring group) defines a unique sound combining jazz swing with traditional percussion elements. Award-winning British/Swiss musician, Alex Wilson, guests on the track on piano and is co-producer.
